Dr Ali Kalhor

Dr Ali Kalhor is a qualified, Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon treating conditions of the shoulder, elbow, knee and trauma. Specialising in the management of complex shoulder, elbow and knee related conditions and arthroplasty; he also has a particular interest in reconstructive and trauma surgery.

An enthusiastic researcher, Dr Kalhor has been involved in extensive research in the field of orthopaedic surgery and participated in the establishment of Iran’s premier orthopaedic research centre prior to moving to Australia. He also attained a Master of Engineering by Research degree from the Queensland University of Technology in 2013 (under the supervision of Professor Ross Crawford), and was awarded the prestigious Royal Australian College of Surgeons’ Neville Davis Prize in 2013 for his extensive work on osteonecrosis.

Dr Kalhor has his private practice at Greenslopes Hospital (Kalhor Orthopaedic) and Mater Springfield Hospital plus his public appointments at The Queen Elizabeth II Hospitals.
